Rules, controls and help for Scorpion Solitaire

Scorpion Solitaire gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Look at what changes after your first action.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Something to practise

Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Keep the objective visible.

What counts as success

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.

Follow these playing steps

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Read the example below alongside these instructions.

One way to understand the rules

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Look for the relevant detail.

A mistake to avoid

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
